VIDA de San Luis Del Rio® is an artisanal, Organic Mezcal from Del Maguey, at an entry-level price point and broader availability. Launched in 2010, it is highly mixable and has arrived to much anticipated industry acceptance and high bartender demand. Hand crafted, it is twice distilled, very slowly in small wood-fired, riverside copper stills to flavor specifications that underscore its versatility in cocktails. Another masterpiece out of San Luis del Rio, it has a nose of fruit aromatics, a hint of honey, vanilla and roast agave; the palate offers ginger, cinnamon, burnt sandalwood, banana and tangerine, with a long, soft finish. A Fantastic Mezcal!
This may be Del Maguey’s most ’affordable’ mezcal, but it tastes fantastic! Mild smoke and wonderful notes of agave make this mezcal a go-to replacement for tequila in your favorite margarita! Vida’s smoothness and mild flavor make this a great way to introduce people to the deliciousness of Mezcal!

Good for cocktails
This seems to be the suggested introduction to Mezcal for a lot of people. I guess if your main interest is making Mezcal cocktails its not a bad suggestion. However, if you are looking on sipping a Mezcal neat or chilled skip over this one. Its okay in that respect but why not spend another $5-10 and get something that is actually good.
