Diford’s Guide 2009 4.5 out of 5 stars A light, smoky nose. Refined and silky. Butterscotch and caramelized pear notes surround earthy espadin agave. Smoke lingers through the vanilla coated finish. Perfect balance of agave and wood. May have sediment as a result of the artisanal, handcrafted production process.

Ilegal mezcal
This is my favorite mezcal that I have tried. This has a lot of flavor with a mild amount of smoke.

There is good reason why Ilegal Mezcal tops many of the best Mezcal lists. Smokey and smooth. Be sure to store it out of light and over a month or two the flavor will darken. Sip it from a wide glass or clay copita.

Great mezcal
I love this mezcal, only topped by the Anjeo version. It's very difficult for me to find locally where I live so thank you for making this available to those of us that could not enjoy it otherwise.
