Mezcales De Leyenda Cementerio Mezcalero Edicion Especial 2016.  Mezcales de Leyenda presents the first edition of the series: ‘Cementerio Mezcalero’ (Mezcal Graveyard), a collection of mezcales aged in glass that honors an old tradition often related to small comunities, in which some of the best ’mezcales’ are aged in glass containers, generally underground, to be latter unearthed for family celebrations such as birthdays, weddings, and baptisms.

The ‘desentierros mezcaleros‘ or mezcal unearthing, traditionally take place in Titzio, Michoacan, during the month of November, for the celebration of ‘Día de Muertos’, Day of the Dead.
