For the price, I prefer other extra anejos

I didn't think this really stood out for the price. It's not bad, but I would easily choose the extra anejo from Chula Paranda, Jose Cuervo Reserva De La Familia, Don Valente Perfeccion, or various others for a better extra anejo experience at this price.

    Arta Extra Anejo

Posted by Mark Egeberg on Jan 14th 2019

I tend to judge my extra anejos relative to my standard, and then by price. My 'standard' used to be Cava de Oro. Still one my favorites. For the last couple years though, my standard is Adictivo. While Arta is tasty as it should be... it is a bit watery on the finish and does not hold me like it 'should'. I will keep trying other tequila EA's as I am always on the quest for the 'one'!. For the taste/price, this falls just short of my standard. That said, a very smooth sipper.
