Handpicked mature agave plants with the correct amount of brix’s levels that are shaved by jimadors that even take out the stem from the male agave plant that could add bitterness to the Tequila. Same natural yeast that his grandfather used to used 80 plus years ago, (today many tequilas use synthetic yeast in order to get a larger yield) we don’t like adding anything that is not natural or could change its natural flavor or aromas. Deep earth well water 140 meters or 459 feet with almost viscosity most feel even in the Blanco to the final product. Custom made Stone oven that cooks and steams and cleans the agave from top to bottom so you don’t get under cooked agave.

A beautiful high proof Extra Anejo release from NOM 1579.
Everything about this Terralta Tequila Extra Anejo 110 proof release has been done right. It has wonderful flavors of caramelized agave and oak, with vanilla, caramel and other barrel spice evident on the nose and in the mouth. The higher alcohol content makes this really shine on the finish as the flavors carry on in the mouth for a very long time fading to an oaky, caramel agave sweetness that is never bitter or over oaked. I liked this so much that shortly after opening and tasting this Extra Anejo, I ordered a second bottle. Comparable in price to lower proof 3 year plus aged artisanal extra anejos you get the benefit of the higher proof and the mastery of Ing. Felipe Camarena's production methods. How can you go wrong? Highly recommended.
