ADICTIVO IMPERIAL 12 YEARS EXTRA ANEJO TEQUILA

If you are already an Adictivo fan, GET IT! If you have never tried an Adictivo Tequila, and the price of this 12 year "finish", is weighing heavy on your mind, let me just say, IMO, it is well worth the investment. I'm just an average tequila fanboy, who enjoys & seeks a more broad experience. This offering will NOT disappoint. Beautiful, deep Blue ceramic bottle, with embossed labels, and a "better" bottle stopper, designed not to rise, or leak. FYI, the stopper does NOT have the traditional Adictivo extra shot reservoir*. The Tequila itself has an amazing aroma, very unique & rich. The taste is wonderful. It sips with ease, full of character & flavor, yet softly & silently tip-toeing across your tongues' taste buds, with a "soft-warm" finish, as it travels down the esophagus. My bottle was a Birthday Gift to myself, because I deserve this. Today, 11/30/'20, I'm 61, and enjoying the "fruits" of my labors(2 shots), while I still CAN.

ADICTIVO IMPERIAL 12 YEARS EXTRA ANEJO TEQUILA

I have been a fan of Adictivo since I first stumbled across it on a trip to Mexico. The 7-year Extra Anejo is my go to sipping tequila. I saw this on Old Town Tequila Instagram and decided to give it a try. The normal Extra Anejo is really good, so I assumed this would be a little better.... I just got my bottle in and decided not to wait. WOW!!!! I did not think that it would be that different. However, this tequila just blew my mind. It has the same sweetness as its younger variant, but the complexity and taste is on another level. I am usually pretty good at describing how it hits the pallet. This one is a little harder to describe. The original has hints of vanilla and spice. This Imperial is on a whole other level.... and I haven't quite been able to wrap my head around what I am tasting. I am getting new hints of honey or maple. A little less sweetness and a little more spice. All flavors linger on the back of your tongue long after the initial taste. We have been joking that it is the Christmas tequila since it taste like a holiday. Once you try you will understand the reference.
