Description
Amatiteña Barrancas Tequila 700ml is the first tequila of its kind!
Single field blue weber agave from the Barrancas of Amatitán is distilled with wild mango, mamey, and plums that grow around this field.
After the wood fire copper pot distillation, the tequila is glass rested in damajuanas for over 1 year, then bottled at still strength.
Packed full of agave flavor, this tequila leads with a creamy candied sweet potato flavor (mamey), which leads to a nice nutty mascarpone flavor (plum), and finishes with a long sweet roasted agave and juicy tropical mango flavor.

It's so good
For a 55% ABV this drinks so well. On the palate dark fruits, mango, cooked agave. Black pepper and a light smokiness giving way to cooked agave with fruity notes.

It's dangerous
At 50% ABV it drinks like a 40% Anejo. The nose is agave, mango, dark fruits and something I can't quite figure out. The smokiness is light but quite pleasant. It isn't overpowering. Cooked agave, pepper a little citrus. I am a big fan.
