Description
Arette Artesanal Reposado Tequila – 80 Proof (40% ABV) | 700ml
Traditional, balanced, and distinctly agave-forward, Arette Artesanal Reposado Tequila combines traditionally produced Blue Weber agave tequila with measured oak maturation. Bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof) in a 700ml bottle, this reposado balances cooked agave with vanilla, citrus, pepper, light caramel, herbs, and oak while maintaining the natural character of the agave.
Process & Aging
Produced at the historic El Llano Distillery (NOM 1109) in Tequila, Jalisco, Arette Artesanal Reposado is crafted from 100% Blue Weber agave grown in the Tequila Valley.
The Artesanal line emphasizes traditional production methods. Mature agave piñas are slowly cooked in stone and brick ovens before extraction with a roller mill. Fermentation takes place in open-air concrete tanks using the distillery's house yeast, followed by double distillation.
Following distillation, the tequila is matured in American oak barrels, allowing it to develop additional vanilla, spice, and wood character while preserving the cooked-agave foundation of the spirit.
Appearance
Light golden amber with warm straw highlights, reflecting its period of maturation in American oak.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Cooked agave leads with aromas of citrus, vanilla, herbs, light caramel, and subtle oak accompanied by peppery spice.
Palate: Smooth and balanced with roasted agave, vanilla, citrus, caramel, pepper, herbs, and gentle oak. Barrel sweetness complements rather than overwhelms the natural agave character.
Finish: Clean and lingering with cooked agave, pepper, vanilla, light oak, and subtle herbal notes.
What Makes It Special
Arette Artesanal Reposado stands apart through its combination of traditional tequila production and restrained barrel influence.
The Artesanal range uses traditional oven cooking and open-air fermentation to create an agave-driven foundation before maturation. Aging in American oak then introduces additional vanilla, caramel, spice, and wood characteristics without completely covering the flavors developed during production.
This balance makes the Reposado an excellent middle ground between the fresh, vibrant character of Arette Artesanal Blanco and the richer barrel influence found in Arette Artesanal Añejo.
How to Enjoy
Best enjoyed neat in a tequila tasting glass to appreciate its balance of cooked agave and oak. Allowing the tequila several minutes to rest after pouring can reveal additional layers of citrus, vanilla, pepper, herbs, and caramel.
Its combination of agave and barrel character also makes it an excellent choice for a premium Margarita, Paloma, or Reposado Old Fashioned.

Arette Suave Reposado
Loads of delicious caramel gingerbread baking spices with well-balanced singular flavor. Hint of cardamom. Accurate agave for its age. Nice silky mouthfeel with rich, yet again singular flavor. As it breaths, it picks up some alcohol and the finish lengthens. This is a great artisanal product and one of my favorite profiles of true baking spice that I really like.
