Truly Unique
This is a very flavorful tequila. The hints of vanilla are evident in the bouquet as well as the taste. As advertised it is very smooth and caramelly on the tongue with just enough bite. I'm hooked. This will definitely remain in my rotation.

An exceptional premium anejo
I've been a huge fan of the Asombroso's for years and years. the 'black' is a perfect answer for those looking for an expensive tequila that ISN"T expensive (not compared to its bigger brothers). The depth of this product, the backbite, the vanila aroma all mark this as one of the best sub-200 tequila's you can find. I particularly like that if you buy the 'gran reserva' from Asombroso directly, its 250 / bottle. This is the SAME product, but not sold at that price. For the 120 or so, this blows the doors off of any other Extra Anejo you can find. Try it and prove me right or wrong! I'm always testing/tasting anything Old Town suggests, but my shelves are filled with $50-200 bottles that just don't come close.

Heaven in a bottle
This is one of the best tequilas in the world! I was most pleasantly surprised by this ultra fine offering from Asombroso. The nose is a wonderful sweet bouquet it smelled so good I hesitated to drink it. the taste is heavy vanilla and buttery Carmel though not too sweet, nice agave flavor that is smooth and lightly spicy. This tequila is like desert. Like no tequila I've ever tasted and I've had at least a few hundred.
