Nuestras Raíces—Spanish for “Our Roots”—is a bold, small-batch destilado de agave crafted by third-generation Maestro Destilador Humberto Alvarado in the remote jungle village of La Estancita, Jalisco. Rooted in a centuries-old family recipe, this spirit captures the raw essence of Blue Weber Agave using traditional techniques passed down through generations.
Every step of the process honors the past—from hand-chopping agave and wild open-air fermentation to slow cooking in a wood-fired autoclave and distilling in stainless steel with copper coils. Fermented with native yeast and washed with natural spring water sourced just 100 meters from the still, the result is a pure, unfiltered expression of agave in its wildest form.
We call it “Jugo de la Selva” (Jungle Juice)—vibrant, vegetal, and unapologetically agave-forward.
Tasting Notes:
•Nose: Bright and herbaceous with lime, mint, grilled vegetables, cut grass, roasted pepper, and a hint of almond
•Palate: Full-bodied with bold notes of cooked agave, sea salt, lemon, lime, ripe cantaloupe, and green apple
•Finish: Long and warming with lingering sweetness, citrus, and subtle minerality

This “second” release is AMAZING
Wow !!! Oh my what else is there to say about the second coming of this beautiful 2026 Nuestras Raices “Jungle Juice”. Although there are some similarities to the original ‘25 release this ‘26 has some differences. Hard to say which one is “better”, you can’t argue with either. Nose - very green/vegetal, mix in a little earth, minerality, some funkiness, slightly citrusy, a hint of melon, cinnamon, baking spices, and yes that agave presence is definitely there. Palate - texture is creamy, and all of what you get on the nose harmoniously comes together to deliver a beautiful dance and finish on your tongue, so well balanced, this is absolutely a masterpiece just as the ‘25 was. Again it’s hard to pick one over the other, as great as the ‘25 was for me personally I give the ‘26 a slight edge. This is without question another masterpiece by Humberto. AMAZING !!!

A Very Special Bottle
Nuestras Raíces is one of those special bottles that puts a smile on your face when you taste it. Great by yourself, but should be experienced with friends or family to really share how crazy good it is. A little bit of heat, whole lot of agave and it’s terroir, a finish that builds and leaves you wanting more and honestly you can taste how much time and love they put into this product. Do yourself a favor and find a bottle of this to try!

An amazing high proof. It has plenty of body and the complexity is off the charts. Was splendidly surprised that there was not too much of the "smokey" taste. Great juice!
