Process & Production

Colonel E.H. Taylor Small Batch Bourbon is crafted at the historic Buffalo Trace Distillery using carefully selected grains and traditional bourbon-making methods that reflect the legacy of Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr., one of the pioneers responsible for shaping modern bourbon production.

After distillation, the bourbon is matured in new charred American oak barrels, where it develops exceptional richness and complexity. Carefully selected barrels are blended into small batches before being bottled under the strict requirements of the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897, ensuring the bourbon is produced by one distillery during a single distillation season, aged for at least four years, and bottled at exactly 100 proof.

The result is a bourbon that perfectly balances sweetness, oak, spice, and depth while honoring one of America's greatest whiskey traditions.

Appearance

Deep amber with brilliant copper highlights, showcasing its careful maturation in new charred American oak barrels.
