Process & Aging
Produced at the historic Hacienda Corralejo in Guanajuato, Mexico, Corralejo 1821 is made from 100% Blue Weber agave and double distilled in traditional copper pot stills. The tequila is then aged for 36 months in carefully selected oak barrels, allowing it to develop extraordinary smoothness, depth, and complexity while preserving its agave foundation.
Named after the year 1821, when Mexico achieved its independence, this expression serves as a tribute to the nation's heritage and the enduring craftsmanship of one of Mexico's oldest tequila producers.
Appearance
Deep amber with rich copper flashes and a full-bodied appearance, reflecting its extensive maturation and premium barrel selection.

What Makes It Special
Corralejo 1821 Extra Añejo stands apart as one of the most prestigious releases from the Corralejo portfolio. Aged for a full three years, it showcases the remarkable transformation that extended barrel maturation can bring to tequila while retaining the spirit's agave identity.
Its commemorative nature, elegant presentation, and limited availability make it highly desirable among collectors and enthusiasts of aged tequila. The expression also highlights Corralejo's unique heritage as one of the few major tequila producers located in Guanajuato rather than Jalisco.

Very good tequila, price is a bit much
I have always been a fan of Corralejo. This tequila is very good, but the price is a bit much for what you get. I actually bought this at Hacienda Corralejo for $60. At that price this is a great tequila and something that I will keep buying, but at $140 I would rather buy something else. This is smooth, a hint of vanilla on the nose, and a long finish. The tequila I loved, but not at this price.
