Description

Lagrimas Del Valle Plata Tequila showcases rich agave character and sweetness throughout. Notes of tropical fruits – papaya and overripe mango – balanced with robust minerality and a subtle lemongrass note on the finish. A lingering but delicate, lightly sweet finish – roasted agave through and through.

Current Vintage: 2022 El Chiqueño (please note some bottles of this El Chiqueño plata are mislabeled as "reposado" but rest assured it is blanco. Consider this a fun "collector's edition") This vintage comes from the “El Chiqueño” ranch, located immediately adjacent to Palo Verde. The elevation, and interplantings were identical, however the average brix totaled out at 32% rather than 35%. It does present as slightly more angular and with higher citrus tones than the Palo Verde – with of course the known quality and characteristics of Cascahuin

    Red Hot Candy Tequila

Posted by Wesley Powell on Nov 19th 2023

Just like spicy red hots, first taste mouth is on fire, but once the high proof blanco coats your mouth & throat, numbing those senses, the agave and citrus like grapefruit shine. It’s not for everybody so beware, it’s a hottie ?

    My #1 blanco

Blew my mind how good this was. Clean fresh cooked Agave with notes of sweet fruit, pepper, anise, and citrus. This might just be my favorite blanco of all time. Incredible value

    Fantastic Fine Tequila from 1123!

Posted by Matt Cavanaugh on Jul 24th 2023

I gotta say, this is among some of 1123's best work. So many layers of flavor in this one. It's a beautiful array of notes, buttery, thick viscosity with loads of cooked agave, minerals, floral notes and maybe a bit of apricot. Lagrimas is a good example of what tequila should be. This one is a celebration, especially at the price point. This one easily goes toe to toe with similar blancos in the 200+ range.

    ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

Posted by Matt Cavanaugh on Jun 26th 2023

This is in my top 3 or 4 of everything that 1123 has ever released. Strong agave, loaded with mineral flavor, slightly vegetal. Remind me of a cross between Wild Common Still Strength and Ocho Puntas. Definitely try this one!
