    Was great, now horrible

ABG bought a bunch of tequila distilleries and their "master distiller" Arturo Fuentes has changed the formula. I would avoid as it tastes like liquid toffee with a splash of Madeira, but if you like it you can also get Villa One and Kah as they're basically the same.

    One of my favorites

I'm still on my journey to learning about tequila. Tonala was one of the first I tried as a sample when I first visited Old Town Tequila, and many years after it stands out as a regular choice as one of the best I've tried since those early days. It's on regular order for me, with a quality that always delivers in flavor. I highly recommend it to anyone learning about what tequila should taste like. A sharp, smoky, fruity flavor I enjoy with a dark beer like Negra Modelo (my preference). Can't go wrong with this tequila.

    Go to Tequila

Love Tonala. This was one of the first tequilas I tried in my journey to appreciating all that tequila is. And after many years of trying and learning, this comes to the fore again and again. The beautiful ceramic, hand-painted bottle and the wonderful drink inside keeps me happy with this tequila. Well-balanced, potent, wonderful flavor, to me the quintessential flavor of tequila. For me, Tonala is on permanent reorder. I display the bottles as well. Tequila is an art and this is a prime example.
