Description
Cascahuín Siete Veces Diez Limited Edition Reposado Tequila – 90 Proof (45% ABV) | 750ml
Rare, commemorative, and rooted in the history of one of Jalisco’s respected tequila-producing families, Cascahuín Siete Veces Diez Limited Edition Reposado Tequila was created in recognition of the second generation of Cascahuín and the 70th birthday of Salvador “Don Chava” Rosales Torres in 2023. Bottled at 45% ABV (90 proof) in a 750ml bottle, this special reposado blends three separately produced and matured tequilas into a distinctive expression of Cascahuín’s traditional agave character.
Process & Aging
Produced at Tequila Cascahuín (NOM 1123) in El Arenal, Jalisco, Siete Veces Diez is crafted from 100% Blue Weber agave from the Tequila Valley. Production incorporates traditional stone and brick ovens, both tahona and roller-mill extraction, open-air fermentation, and double distillation.
What makes Siete Veces Diez particularly distinctive is its construction. Rather than aging a single batch of tequila, Cascahuín created a blend from three different Blanco tequilas produced at the distillery.
Each component was matured separately for 190 days in American oak barrels. After maturation, the three reposado components were blended together to create the finished Siete Veces Diez expression.
The tequila is bottled at an elevated 45% ABV (90 proof), compared with the lower bottling strength of Cascahuín’s standard Reposado.
Appearance
Light gold with silver nuances, reflecting its 190-day maturation while retaining a relatively bright and youthful appearance.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Fruit-forward with herbal and spicy agave notes balanced by gentle barrel sweetness. Aromas include green apple, melon, chamomile tea, green tea, mint, papaya, green banana, honey, walnut, dark chocolate, anise, and coconut.
Palate: Cooked agave remains at the center, accompanied by fresh fruit, herbs, natural sweetness, warm spice, nuts, and restrained American oak.
Finish: Long and layered with lingering agave, herbal notes, spice, fruit, and subtle barrel sweetness.
What Makes It Special
Siete Veces Diez, meaning “Seven Times Ten,” was created as a tribute to Salvador Rosales Torres, known as Don Chava, who turned 70 years old in 2023. The release recognizes his life, his passion for tequila, and the second generation of the Rosales family at Cascahuín.
Beyond its commemorative significance, the tequila is unusual because of its production. Three distinct Blanco tequilas were produced and then aged separately for 190 days in American oak before being assembled into the final reposado.
This approach allows different expressions of Cascahuín’s distillate to contribute to the finished tequila, creating greater complexity while preserving the mineral, herbal, and cooked-agave character associated with the distillery.
Its 90-proof bottling strength, limited-edition status, and connection to the Rosales family make Siete Veces Diez a particularly notable release for Cascahuín enthusiasts and collectors.
How to Enjoy
Best enjoyed neat in a tequila tasting glass to appreciate the interaction between the three tequila components and their American oak maturation.
Allow the tequila several minutes to open after pouring to reveal additional layers of green fruit, herbs, honey, nuts, chocolate, spice, and cooked agave.

Cascahuin Extra Anejo
At least this seems to have no additives. It will satisfy the purists. You definitely get the agave. It is a little hot from the higher alcohol. Try it.
