First Growth. Premier Cru Classe in 1855. Sometimes refered to as 'Ancien Cru du Roy' as displayed on older labels.

Expert tasting note: "Medium straw to gold colour. Treacley notes with oily, ripe peach fruit on the nose. The palate is sweet and bursting with very high ripeness frut (stone-fruit, ripe peach, apricot). There are also sulphidic notes. Alcohol is warming & acidity seems low - length is fairly good.
