Artisanally-crafted with one-hundred percent Blue Agave harvested from the Highland-estate ranches of Don José Pilar Contreras. This Añejo has been aged for over sixteen months in virgin American White Oak barrels. Every sip reveals a sublime, butterscotch-oak profile with notes of baked agave. Serve it neat in a sipping glass or craft a top-notch cocktail. I’m always amazed at how good Don Pilar is for the price. For years Don Pilar has been my go to tequila. My friends come over and think I’ve broken out a one hundred plus dollar bottle of tequila when I serve Don Pilar. Some actually prefer it to the more expensive tequilas I often pour. Don Pilar tastes like an extra Añejo having a nice balance of wood and nutty spice flavors, I sip neat from a Riedel tequila glass. Not too heavy on the nose but nice Agave finish. Try it I’m sure you’ll like it.
