Not as smooth as I hoped for a 9 year old

My favorites are smooth Extra Anejos where the alcohol is not prominent. This often happens with aging but not with Don Valente. Very good flavor beneath the alcohol but more of a challenge to sip than Adictivo.

Is a great sipping tequila you can enjoy just about any time of the day. I like it that is very smooth and enjoyable

An authentically old extra anejo

This extra anejo tastes like a mouthful of oak and agave. It does not have the back-sweetened sweetness of some pricey dark extra anejos, but it does retain the agave essence despite having been thoroughly darkened by nine years in oak. If you get it, pour a glass and let it breathe for a few hours before you sip it; it opens up quite nicely.
