El Tesoro Extra Anejo Tequila

A fantastic extra anejo! Very agave forward for an XA, but has all the complexity you could ever want. Time in the barrel has turned this great tequila into a world class sipping experience.

This tequila is a very distinguised Extra Añejo. In my first taste I got notes of vanilla, burnt Carmel, Oak and cinnamon maybe a hint of butterscotch and a faint touch of cooked agave buried amonst all of the above. This one pairs very well with a cigar, neat or on the rocks. I found that letting this one breathe a bit had a profound impact on the taste. Would buy again!

Agave, anise, caramel and warm

One of the best tequilas I have ever had. Very earthy, a little bit smoky, and very smooth.

Good nose and flavor, however it has a mild bitter aftertaste.

I highly recommend El Tesoro Extra Anejo Tequila. I'm still new to tequilas but I currently have Tears of Llorona on top followed by Calle 23-Criollo, El Tesoro Extra Anejo, and then Don Julio 1942. Tequilas I have tasted in the past have been numerous Don Julio's, Clase Azul, Jose Cuervo de la Familia, and Milagro Select Barrel. But going back to El Tesoro Extra Anejo. I immediately reordered it even before I was finished with it. El Tesoro Extra Anejo is delicious; buttery, mineral, vanilla, and agave.

This is an excellent extra anejo. If you like the agave flavor but like it going doing smoothly, this is the tequila to buy. I highly recommend El Tesoro Extra Anejo!
