This is absolutely Dr. Bill Lumsden at his best. For this Limited Release expression, what's old is new again with the team at this highly innovative distillery bringing back the old art of kilning barley with botanicals - in this case juniper, birch bark and heather flowers. To retain their wonderful influence in the whisky, a high proportion of the blend was aged in refill casks. We are all familiar with peated malt, which makes the unexpected release of Forest even that more brilliant. Limited.
