Izo Mezcal Joven Cenizo

I took exception to a negative review here. You need to understand the differences to appreciate them. Not every Mezcal is made from Espadin, although most of them are. This gem is made from Cenizo agave, typically from the Durango region. It's grown at very high altitude, in cold dry regions. It is a different and interesting mezcal, and it is exceptional.

I have totally converted! First off, I have never really been into mezcal drinks because of the overpowering Smokey taste. My mind has changed because of IZO Mezcal. My roommate recently had a nice bottle izo mezcal, I thought wow what a pretty bottle very simple and elegant, she had been asking to make me a drink as soon as I found out it was mezcal I was like no thanks. I told her it is like drinking a Bbq. She made izo mezcal sours one night for happy hour and she promised me that izo ‘s Smokey was subtle, smooth and that I would love it! I did try and ended up drinking three izo mezcal cocktails that evening! I must say it was very tasty, easy to drink. The next few days I found myself asking her to make more izo mezcal cocktails and we had some izo Mezcal margaritas and now I am totally a fan. It is now our weekly tradition to make izo mezcal cocktails during our happy hour sunset time!

Izo brings you the best mezcal from Durango Mexico. made from wild agaves. very smooth and smoky and easy to sip, amazing in cocktails. I strongly recommend it to anyone.

I just recently ordered this bottle of IZO mezcal from this website. This is definitely not my first time tasting IZO mezcal. This mezcal is my first choice among the others. Unlike the other mezcals which are good but only drinkable when mixed in cocktails; IZO is wonderful in cocktails and on its own. This past month I have use IZO to create fan favorites: mezcal sours, mezcal mules and mezcal margaritas. All were incredibly delicious and dangerously addicting. The taste is a subtle Smokey earthy mezcal that is very easy to sip on as well, but be warned it is so smooth that you may end up drinking half the bottle by the end of the night. IZO Mezcal is going to now be a stable in our house! Highly recommend.... cheers ;)

I had IZO at an event and loved it so much, the smokey flavor and smoothness just feels like a classy drink. I sent a bottle to my Dad in chicago he LOVED it too. The bottle is so cool and well made.

We had a mezcal tasting and everyone had a hard time taking this in. However, as a mixer it works great.
