The blend incorporates rums aged between 15 and 17 years, with the final expression matured in new American white oak barrels with a medium char. This oak maturation contributes depth, spice, toasted character, and rich sweetness.

Master Blender Gabriela Ayala drew inspiration from the Mayan belief that quartz crystals were gifts from Muwaan Mat, the Mayan god of luck, and used the ancient practice of quartz-filtering water as inspiration for this limited-edition rum.
