    A very nice anejo for whiskey drinkers.

    This añejo from NOM 1522 Distilleria Hacienda de Oro is quite forward in its delivery with prominent whiskey/bourbon notes on the palate. There is a lot of barrel spice from cinnamon and white pepper as well as the usual caramel, vanilla and some nuttiness. What is missing with this is some agave which isn't unusual for an añejo or extra añejo aged as this must be, in recently used bourbon barrels. I knock off 1 star for the missing agave but the rest of the flavor profile is quite tasty.
