England - Imagining the botanicals as components in an orchestra, here we have taken the lead instrument, juniper
and amplified its presence in the ensemble, and then raised the decibels by increasing the proof alcohol. The result is our very own symphony in 'J' major

Sipsmith Gun V.J.O.P.
I purchased this gin specifically for the "juniper forward" characteristic advertised by Sipsmith. Frankly, I would like MORE juniper and pine, if that were possible. I thought this gin would be very bold. It is not bold in terms of juniper presentation however, this is a very good gin. The juniper IS more pronounced than a standard-bearer like Tanqueray, and the alcohol presence is stronger, with a nice kick. Excellent as a sipper on ice with a slice of lemon. I am not planning to purchase this again as it's a bit spendy for what it is, IMO, considering I would like MORE juniper/pine in the mix; but it is an excellent gin. If you are a fan of copper-distilled, London dry gin, you should give this one a try.
