Each year, a limited number the finest barrels are selected from the aging stocks of straight rye whiskey in Templeton, Iowa. These barrels are then carefully vatted together, creating a barrel strength whiskey that showcases the Templeton Rye expression in its purest form. Each barrel chosen has a 95% rye and 5% malted barley mash bill, and will vary in age and taste profile to deliver a unique and special annual release. Naturally non-chill filtered and bottled at 56.55% ABV, the 2020 Barrel Strength delivers aromas of ripe apples and oak with delicate hints of spiced orange and dried apricot.
