Nice smoky notes and clean finish. I haven't had time to mix a cocktail with it yet, though. I had a Paloma Blanca at Emeril's Delmonico with this as the spirit, which inspired me to purchase this.
Good enough to sip neat and cheap enough to enjoy in a cocktail.
Right now on sale for $32 bucks I'd say this is a good value. Flavor wise it has all the basic elements of mezcal going on. Its well balanced, not heavily smoked, and has a clean finish. Its not very complex like many of the more expensive mezcals but don't let that keep you from enjoying it. A friend gave me a bottle for my birthday last month and I'd say its probably my favorite of the mid $30s priced mezcals I've tried. Definitely better for sipping neat than the Del Maguey and Findencio offerings at this price point. At $40 it has competition.
