Tears of Llorona Extra Añejo Tequila 1 Liter

Discover one of Mexico’s most celebrated tequilas with Tears of Llorona Extra Añejo Tequila (1L) — a rare, handcrafted spirit created by master distiller Germán González, the legendary maker behind Chinaco Tequila.

This ultra-premium extra añejo tequila is made from 100% blue Weber agave, slow-roasted and double-distilled before aging nearly five years in a harmonious blend of Scotch, Sherry, and Brandy casks. The result is a rich, complex tequila that rivals the world’s finest whiskies and cognacs.

Each sip reveals deep layers of caramel, roasted agave, vanilla, and oak, balanced by hints of dark chocolate, toffee, espresso, and dried fruit. The long, smooth finish carries notes of orange peel, spice, and sweetness, leaving a lasting impression of elegance and depth.

Presented in a distinctive 1-liter hand-numbered bottle, Tears of Llorona Extra Añejo is perfect for collectors, connoisseurs, or anyone seeking an extraordinary sipping tequila. Enjoy it neat or in a crystal snifter to appreciate its full aromatic complexity.

Tears of Llorona Extra Anejo Tequilauila 1 Liter

I'm an aficionado of good tequila and prefer a double-distilled tequila made from highland agave with its earthy and clean agave flavor. This tequila hit all the requirements for me, and the taste is truly worth the cost. Some of my friends who truly appreciate tequila have said it's the best they've ever had. My favorite is still Rey Sol, but this is definitely up there.

    Awesome extra Anejo

Posted by JT Tyler on Sep 7th 2025

Reviews say Tears is the best extra anejo. I agree it is pretty good and definitely worth having in your tequila collection. Resting the mix in three different wine casks results in a unique taste profile with the sherry showing through. Being on the sweeter side it compares favorably with Adictivo, Cava De Oro, Don Elias and Compoveda but I have to say I like the flavor profile of these a little bit more than Tears of Llorona. All are smooth and sweet. I do have to give 5 stars to Old Town for their extremely quick shipping and excellent packaging and the fact that they carry Tears as many other tequlia sellers do not.

A Must have on any tequila lover shelf. Aroma is sweet caramel & oak. Balanced taste that could rival any high end bourbon. Aged 5 years in Sherry, Cognac, & Scotch Barrels. High priced but it is one to save & sip for those right moments.

A stunningly good XA! Complex, with all the notes in perfect harmony. Agave and chocolate with baking spices and a sweet lingering finish. A spectacular sipper that I can never get enough of.
