Process & Profile
This añejo tequila is crafted from 100% Blue Weber agave harvested at peak maturity from a single estate in Jalisco, Mexico. The agave is slow-cooked to extract its natural sweetness, then fermented and distilled to preserve its distinct terroir. Aged in a single barrel, this 2025 Old Town Tequila selection develops rich oak character while maintaining Tequila Ocho’s signature agave-forward profile. Bottled at 109 proof (54.5% ABV), it delivers bold intensity, structure, and exceptional depth.
Tasting Notes
The nose reveals cooked agave, vanilla, toasted oak, and caramel, layered with hints of baking spice. On the palate, concentrated agave sweetness is balanced by flavors of chocolate, roasted nuts, dried fruit, and warm spice. The finish is long and expressive, lingering with oak, pepper, and a refined sweetness that showcases both barrel and proof.
What Makes It Special
This is a true single-barrel añejo, selected exclusively for Old Town Tequila, making each bottle a unique, unblended expression. Tequila Ocho is renowned for showcasing vintage and estate transparency, and this high-proof 2025 selection amplifies those qualities. Its elevated ABV enhances mouthfeel and complexity, appealing to collectors and serious tequila enthusiasts.
How to Enjoy
Best enjoyed neat in a tequila flute or Glencairn glass to fully appreciate its concentration and structure. Adding a few drops of water can open additional aromas and soften the intensity. Pairs exceptionally well with dark chocolate, roasted almonds, or a premium cigar.

Tequila Ocho Anejo Review
For all the hype Old Town Tequila gave this tequila and for the price point it seems a bit harsh with a bite. Maybe it's the pepper after taste or the burn in my throat that I am not used to for $100/bottle tequila.

Tequila Ocho Anejo Single Barrel
As always tequila Ocho has done it again with hteir Anejo but at a higher proof of 52ABV. the tequila even at this proof sips very easily and is still very front agave node but with the traditional Ocho citrus nodes.
