Experience the depth and complexity of Tequila Ocho Añejo Tequila, bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV) and presented in a 750ml bottle. This añejo expression showcases Tequila Ocho’s commitment to single-estate, vintage-dated production, offering a refined and elegant tequila with rich oak influence and vibrant agave character, perfect for sipping or elevating premium cocktails.

Process & Profile

Tequila Ocho Añejo is crafted from 100% Blue Weber agave grown on a single estate in Jalisco, Mexico, harvested at peak maturity. The agave is slow-roasted in traditional brick ovens, fermented carefully, and distilled in copper pot stills to preserve its natural flavors. After distillation, the tequila is aged in oak barrels for at least one year, developing layers of vanilla, caramel, toasted oak, and subtle baking spice while maintaining a bright agave foundation. Bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV), it delivers a harmonious balance of richness and approachability.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Aromas of cooked agave, vanilla, caramel, toasted oak, and hints of spice.
Palate: Smooth and full-bodied with flavors of honey, chocolate, roasted nuts, and gentle baking spices.
Finish: Long, balanced, and elegant, with lingering oak and agave-forward notes that invite slow savoring.

What Makes It Special

This single-estate, vintage-dated añejo highlights Tequila Ocho’s transparency and dedication to terroir. Its careful aging adds depth and sophistication without overpowering the natural agave character, making it ideal for collectors, sipping enthusiasts, or cocktail connoisseurs seeking a rich, flavorful tequila.

How to Enjoy

Best enjoyed neat in a tasting glass or tequila flute to fully appreciate its complexity. It also shines in cocktails like an Añejo Old Fashioned or premium tequila Manhattan. Pair with dark chocolate, roasted nuts, or a fine cigar for a refined tasting experience.

    Great!

I’m a Fortaleza guy hands down. But since 2020 things aren’t the same - try finding Fortaleza and the prices are stupid high. I prefer additive free and this one did not disappoint. Just an fyi - it’s an oak bomb. While not what I’m looking for, it’s still enjoyable and glad I tried it and will try their reposado for sure.

Made like a fine wine, no additives, single estate grown. Light barrel taste and absolutely delicious. Ocho is fantastic.
